Hotel SEO expert

A hotel SEO expert who helps guests book direct instead of through the OTAs.

Online travel agencies take a large commission on every booking they send you. I help hotels, guesthouses and resorts rank for the searches that matter, so more guests find and book on your own site.

What it is

What Hotel SEO means, and what I do

Hotel SEO is search marketing for hotels, boutique stays, guesthouses, serviced apartments and resorts. The aim is simple: more guests booking direct, so less margin goes to booking platforms.

Travellers search in stages. They dream ("best places to stay in Lisbon"), compare ("hotels near the old town") and book (a hotel's name plus "book"). Big platforms dominate the first two stages, so the practical goal is to win the last one and to appear in the map results and local guides.

I work on your Google Business Profile, your room and offer pages, destination content that brings guests to your area, and a booking path that is fast on a phone. Pages should describe what guests actually get: real photos, honest detail and clear policies. For the foundation see local SEO, and for guests from abroad see international SEO.

I have not published a hotel case study yet. The closest proof is mobile tyre fitting SEO in Liverpool, a local business that grew through map visibility and reviews.

Your customers

How your customers search

Destination and inspiration searches

"Things to do in Cox's Bazar". Guides that help travellers plan bring them to your site early.

Hotel plus location searches

"Boutique hotel near the beach". The map results, reviews and photos decide who is shown.

Branded and booking searches

Guests who already know your name. Make sure you, not a reseller, are the first result.

Event and group searches

Weddings, conferences and retreats. Higher-value bookings that need dedicated pages.

What I do

What I work on for a hotel

Google Business Profile and hotel panel

Accurate rooms, amenities, photos, prices and booking links, which strongly influence where guests click.

Room and offer pages

Each room type and package gets its own page with real photos and honest descriptions.

Destination guides

Local knowledge on sights, food and transport that attracts travellers early in their planning.

Direct booking path

A booking engine that is fast on mobile and a clear reason to book direct.

Languages and countries

Pages for the markets that matter, set up correctly so each guest sees the right version.

Reviews and replies

An honest process for asking guests, plus polite replies to every review.

Weddings and events

Dedicated pages for the high-value bookings that platforms do not serve well.

Hotel markup

Structured data for the hotel, rooms and offers that matches what is visible on the page.

The difference

Winning the direct booking versus relying on OTAs

Platforms are useful for reach, but they own the guest.

Building direct bookings (what I do)

  • Guests find and book on your site
  • You keep the commission
  • You own the guest relationship
  • Content that works all year
  • A profile that sends guests to you

Relying on OTAs only (the risk)

  • ✓ Commission on every booking
  • ✓ The platform owns the customer
  • ✓ Price wars with similar hotels
  • ✓ No control over how you appear
  • ✓ Nothing left if rankings change

❓ Common Questions

Hotel SEO questions, answered plainly

How can a hotel get more direct bookings?
Make your own site the easiest place to book: a fast booking path, clear room pages, great photos and a reason to book direct. Then make sure guests find it through the map results and local searches.
Not for most broad searches. A hotel can rank for its own name, nearby places and specific experiences, which is where direct bookings come from.
Very. The hotel panel shows prices, photos and booking links directly, so accuracy there affects clicks and bookings.
Yes. A small place with a clear identity and honest content often competes well locally.
Yes. International guests are common, and each language version needs correct setup so Google shows the right one.
Profile and booking path improvements can help within weeks. Content and rankings take three to six months. I report direct bookings, not only rankings.
